My baby is getting married!!!!! WHAT???????
After dedicating pretty much my whole adult life to my children it’s hard to imagine that my life as a young mom is in the past. Joy. Tears. Heartaches. Fun. Laughter... Many different emotions make up the life of a family. Tomorrow my baby will be getting married and that means in a short two and a half years our little family has completely doubled in size. There are lots of mothers and fathers out there who know exactly what it feels like when your last little “chick” flies out on their own. Whenever I start to feel the tightness in my throat and the wetness in my eyes – I stop and think about how grateful I am for this wonderful life I had and the wonderful life I am enjoying now. After tomorrow my children will all be married. They chose the most amazing people to share their lives with. Their father and I couldn’t be more proud of them. Now I am starting on the next phase of my life enjoying my adult children and their babies. This new life as an old mom but a young grandmother is just as wonderful as being it was when I was a young mom. 🙂
